Dance Level 2 Diploma in Performing Arts (Dance)
Who is the course for?
Our mission is to train you to become the best possible dancer, provide you with the skills of an industry professional to get hired and empower you to make and develop your own work.
The Level 2 programme is ideal if you are relatively new to dance and have a real and honest interest in developing both your practical and theoretical understanding of dance. The course is practical in nature and perfect for dancers who wish to pursue pathways into Level 3 dance qualifications.
What is it?
On the Level 2 Diploma in Dance you will train in all aspects of dance, including contemporary, ballet, jazz, choreography and technique. In addition you will study other aspects of the performing arts including physical theatre, contact improvisation, audition techniques and relevant industry skills. As part of your course you will also look explore the history of dance. You will work as a Dance Company, learning and performing choreographed pieces and devising exciting new work, which will be performed to a paying public audience.
This training provides opportunities to develop skills in creativity and performance. The course offers technical skills and professional training in Dance, it offers opportunities to see professional work in the theatre and to gain experience through a range of professional workshops.
