Music Technology Level 3 Diploma in Music Technology + Extended Diploma in Music Technology
What is it?
The Advanced Music Technology Diploma is a unique two year training where music technicians learn to work as professionals in a modern, industry-relevant environment.
Miskin Music offers you an amazing opportunity to train in a professional environment as a Producer/Sound Technician, on one of our Music Technology courses.
You will get to work alongside a diverse range of experienced industry practitioners, in creating industry standard recordings. These will mirror the demands of the exciting and dynamic music industry.
You will have the opportunity to develop your skills in a variety of contexts. As well as your own recordings, you will work alongside The Miskin Theatre, Dance, and Media Companies, which will provide you with a wider appreciation of the demands of the creative arts industry.
As a Music Technician you will gain an insight into sound design, producing and composing for the moving image, live sound techniques, and audio production and recording skills.
All of our productions embed the business and management principals, which are essential for delivering and creating successful music events and/or recordings.
Our courses aim to provide you with the analytical, creative, and technical skills that are required to progress on to Higher Education or to develop a fulfilling career as a Music Technician.
Is it for me?
This course covers a range of music techniques. With our dedicated team of industry professionals guiding and supporting you, you will explore different music styles and different genres.
The course includes written work based around research and personal development, and requires you to keep a creative e-diary/blog site of your work and to evaluate yourself throughout your course.
What Qualification will I get?
On completion of your 1st year you will gain a UAL Level 3 Diploma in Music Technology.
On completion of your 2nd Year you will gain a UAL Level 3 Extended Diploma in Music Technology.
Are there any Entry Requirements?
The Diploma is open to anyone over 16 and there is no upper age limit. The Diploma is a demanding and intensive training course. Prospective Music Technicians must have talent, self-belief, motivation, commitment, dedication, self-discipline and an open attitude.
There is an academic requirement of 5 GCSE’s at GRADE C/ 9-4 or equivalent (must include English and Maths)..
